This is my first attempt at a blog and let me say, right at the outset, that I’m probably just a little bit too old for this. My heading may describe me as a middle-aged woman, but I’m 60 this year, which is hardly in the “middle” of anything – except 120. However, all the major milestones seem to have been facelifted for the last couple of decades and 30 is now the new 20, 40 is the new 30, 50 is the new 40 and 60 ….. oh, no hang on! 60 isn’t the new anything! 60 is still the old old...
